Chassis

Initially, the chassis prototype will be fabricated from MDF to get the measurements and parts right. This material is cheap and easy to work whilst sorting out the design. Once finalised the chassis will be fabricated from aluminium extrusions and aluminium plate.

I'm thinking that it would be way easier to mount the wheels with a bearing on each side. This means using a ladder type chassis with a bar running down the outside of the wheels.
