The Fury R1 has been tucked away for a while now and SORN'd. It's finally time to get it MOT'd and taxed and back on the road!

Ordered a set of four Toyo R888R tyres for the Fury R1 in 185/60 R13 size.
Booked the MOT for near the end of the month.

With the help of a friend, I transported my car back home, so I can get on with the MOT preparation in my garage.

Cleaned up my Compomotive CXR-2 wheels and removed all the weights, to get them properly clean. Ready for my new tyres. They are in amazing condition given their age. Bought them new in 2007.
My Toyo R888R tyres turned up but they were the wrong size! :-( 14" instead of 13". Worse still, the 13's are out of stock now :-(

With no new tyres arriving in time for my MOT, a friend is lending me his CXR-2 wheels and tyres (Yokohama A539) off his race car :-) Fortunately they have a similar offset (ET16, mine are ET18). Interesting to see my car on black wheels.
Failed the MOT today on the emissions, which were miles out :-( A big part of the problem is the exhaust gas analyser probe won't go more than 4" into the exhaust before it hits the catalyst.
